I will graduate from law school in roughly 45 days. I have been sitting at this computer for 15 minutes trying to figure out what to write about. I am virtually unable to think about anything other than graduation, but in the recesses of my mind I know I have a choice.
Choice – “the power of choosing” and “a grade of meat between prime and good” – Merriam-Webster

The value of a legal education does not reside solely in legal training. The numerous skills I have acquired throughout my time spent at TU are invaluable. While my “chills” are multiplying in anticipation of taking the bar exam I find comfort in knowing TU has provided me with the skills I need to be successful.

In the summer of 2010 I got engaged. The courting period lasted around 10 months, and at the time of my proposal I had very limited knowledge of this person. Over the past three years we have grown closer. I have set aside the upcoming summer to learn more about my fiancé. On July 31, 2013 I will be wed to The Oklahoma Bar Exam.

My trip to Fayetteville, AR this weekend was bittersweet. I was surprised Friday afternoon with a message that I would be flying to AR. My friend Wes recently passed his pilots exam, and offered to fly down to the game. The plane ride was enjoyable, but the TU-Arkansas game was not. Cody Green played great, but missed opportunities led to a loss. TU is still in the driver’s seat of Conference USA, and the possibility of playing the conference championship in Tulsa is high.

I suffered a heart breaking loss on Saturday. Notre Dame – 30 Oklahoma – 13. I have suffered many tough losses in my Sooners-fan career, but this one was a culmination of 3 years of disappointment. I will continue to keep my chin up. There is a still outside chance for an at-large bid. I will be attending the Tulsa-Arkansas game this Saturday in Fayetteville. This is very big game for Tulsa, and the possibility of an AP Top 25 ranking is on the line. You heard it here first, Cody Green will determine whether or not we beat the Hogs. Congrats to San Fran on the Fall Classic win. I definitely did not predict the sweep. I am not a Cowboys fans, but Romo and Garrett need to go. (Mainly because I would like to see Jerry make a run at Bradford). Now on to some law school stuff.

Hello World.
The trust bestowed upon me to write a blog on behalf of the University of Tulsa College of Law is an honor. I have been given the power to publish my words on the internet for all to read, and I hope to bring joy and happiness to all. In Greek mythology, Pandora, opened a “box” that released evil into the world. I hope to accomplish the exact opposite. Through my blog I will release all the positive and uplifting aspects of law school. I do not see the need to dwell on negative experiences because those can be found in all of life’s endeavours. It is the positive experiences that make a journey worth traveling.
